The main story of this movie is focused on Peter Park, a high-school student, whose role is played by Tobey Maguire. The young boy will develop superhero powers, moment after which he will be the one to make the choice of fighting to save the world, while putting all his powers in the service of the law and crime fighting. However, in January of 2010, Raimi decided to back out of the project saying that he didn’t think he would be able to uphold a quality film project with the creativity expected with a deadline so near (a year and a couple months).
